Job summary

ECS Federal is seeking a TS-cleared Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a DoJ program in Quantico, VA. This role leads security authorization for FBI systems and collaborates with owners, ISSEs, CRMU, and stakeholders to ensure readiness and continuity.

The position requires 9+ years of experience, a Master’s degree or approved certifications, and US citizenship with Top Secret clearance. FBI security, training, background, and polygraph requirements apply.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.
• 9 years of experience in information security.
• Master's degree or one of listed certifications aligned to DoD 8140.
• At least 7 years as ISSO/ISSE at a cleared facility and 9+ years in a CS/cybersecurity field.
• Must meet FBI security, background, training, and polygraph requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead security authorization support for FBI systems and portfolios with accountability for readiness, remediation, quality, and continuity.
• Coordinate with system owners, ISSEs, CRMU, and stakeholders; provide senior technical and process leadership.
• Drive authorization readiness, POA&M, and continuous-monitoring actions; mentor ISSOs as needed.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $124,000

As a Senior Information System Security Officer, you will lead ISSO execution for assigned FBI systems and portfolios, coordinating with system owners, ISSEs, CRMU, and other stakeholders. Drives authorization readiness, POA&M and continuous-monitoring actions, resolves documentation and control gaps, and provides senior technical and process leadership. May serve as a task lead and mentor other ISSOs.

• US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
• 9 Years of experience
• Advanced proficiency aligned to Security Architect (722) of DOD 8140 requirements:
  • Master's Degree in one of the following disciplines (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering)
  • OR One of the following Certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSLC)
• At least 7 years as an ISSO or ISSE at a cleared facility; and at least 9 years in a computer science/cybersecurity-related field.
