Job summary

ECS Corporate Services is seeking a TS-cleared Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to support a DOJ program in Washington, DC. The role focuses on OCIO FISMA audit readiness, evidence collection, and corrective-action closure for a critical FBI system.

Candidates should have eight years of experience and advanced proficiency per DOD 8140 requirements, with a Master’s degree or relevant certifications. US citizenship and TS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.
• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, design, and assessment.
• Strong background in secure design, analysis, and test.
• Experience creating or updating security test plans.

• Leads security engineering and assessment support for FBI systems.
• Guides categorization, control implementation, secure architecture, SSP content, data flows, remediation, and continuous monitoring.
• Provides technical leadership, mentoring, and process improvement.

In this job you will support OCIO FISMA audit readiness and compliance reviews by identifying gaps, organizing evidence, and driving corrective-action closure.

Responsibilities

• Leads security engineering and/or assessment support for complex FBI systems.
• Guides categorization, control implementation, secure architecture, SSP technical content, data flows, remediation strategies, assessment readiness, and continuous monitoring.
• Provides technical thought leadership, mentoring, and process improvement to strengthen quality, scalability, and team performance.
• US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
• 8 Years of experience
• Advanced proficiency aligned to Security Architect (652/612) of DOD 8140 requirements:
• Master's Degree in one of the following disciplines (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering) OR One of the following Certifications (CCNP Enterprise, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP, CCISO, CISA, CySA+, GSLC, GSNA)
• 8 years in secure design, analysis and test
• 8 years applying security safeguards, methods, and standards
• 8 years creating or updating security test plans
• Must meet applicable FBI security, clearance, training, background, facility-access, and polygraph requirements
