Job summary

ECS in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a TS-cleared Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to support a DOJ program. This role focuses on FISMA/audit readiness, identifying gaps, organizing evidence, and driving corrective-action closure.

You will lead security engineering and assessment for FBI systems, guide secure architecture, SSP content, data flows, remediation strategies, and continuous monitoring, while mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance and US citizenship required.
• 8+ years in secure design, analysis and test.
• Experience aligning with DOD 8140 security requirements (652).
• Must meet FBI/DOJ security, clearance, background, and polygraph requirements.

ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice in Huntsville, Alabama.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Salary Range: $97,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities

• Leads security engineering and/or assessment support for complex FBI systems.
• Guides categorization, control implementation, secure architecture, SSP technical content, data flows, remediation strategies, assessment readiness, and continuous monitoring.
• Provides technical thought leadership, mentoring, and process improvement to strengthen quality, scalability, and team performance.

Required Skills

• US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
• 8 Years of experience
• Advanced proficiency aligned to Security Architect (652) of DOD 8140 requirements:
• Master's Degree in one of the following disciplines (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
• OR One of the following Certifications (CCNP Enterprise, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GDSA or GICSP
• 8 years in secure design, analysis and test
• 8 years applying security safeguards, methods, and standards
• 8 years creating or updating security test plans
• Must meet applicable FBI security, clearance, training, background, facility-access, and polygraph requirements
