Job summary

Smart Partners Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Information Security Technical Project Manager to partner with Information Security, IT, Legal, and Business Units to deliver security initiatives on time and within budget.

You will own end-to-end delivery of major projects including SIEM deployments, IAM, data protection, and regulatory compliance programs, coordinating across a matrixed enterprise and reporting to the Director of Information Security Programs.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of project management experience in cybersecurity, IT, or technology risk.
• Understanding of security domains (SOC, incident response, vulnerability management, GRC) and regulatory frameworks (NIST, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
• Experience coordinating technical implementations such as security tools, cloud security initiatives, or enterprise tech deployments.
• Track record of influencing across stakeholders and delivering projects on time and within scope.
• PMP, CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications are a strong plus.

Job description

Senior Information Security Technical Project Manager will partner cross-functionally with Information Security, IT, Legal, and Business Units to ensure alignment with organizational goals and deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise security domains — threat detection, vulnerability management, identity security, data protection, and regulatory compliance — with a proven track record of managing high-stakes projects. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Security Programs.

Responsibilities

This person will own end-to-end delivery of major security projects — SIEM implementations, vulnerability remediation programs, identity and access management (IAM) deployments, data protection frameworks, and enterprise security technology integrations. Working across a complex, matrixed enterprise, they'll serve as the technical focal point for the PMO, partnering closely with Information Security, IT, Legal, and Business Units to keep projects aligned, on schedule, and within scope.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of project management experience in cybersecurity, IT, or technology risk
• Working knowledge of security domains — SOC, incident response, vulnerability management, GRC — and regulatory frameworks including NIST, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001
• Understanding of security domains such as Security Operations (SOC), Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Data Protection, and regulatory frameworks (NIST, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
• Experience coordinating technical implementations such as security tools, cloud security initiatives, or enterprise technology deployments.
• A track record of influencing without authority and driving alignment across technical and business stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Confluence
• PMP, CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification is a strong plus
