Stellarus is seeking an Information Security Risk and Governance Specialist to translate regulatory, contractual, and policy requirements into sustainable governance and control practices. You will mature the compliance function and ensure IT audit-readiness across policy, regulations, and control standards.

Ideal candidates possess 7+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex security concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Understanding of security assurance and trust frameworks (NIST, HIPAA and SOC 2).
• Experience interacting with internal/external auditors and explaining technical concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and an agile mindset that processes can always be improved.
• Proven ability to manage projects and deliverables to completion.
• Ability to contextualize complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
• Knowledge of healthcare information security governance, risk, and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Information Security Compliance organization in maturing the compliance function.
• Ensure IT audit-readiness with policy, regulations and control standards.
• Learn Stellarus' security controls and maintain a security knowledge base for multiple projects.
• Demonstrate commitment to change and drive continuous improvement within the team.
• Communicate results and metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
