Jewelers Mutual Insurance Group is seeking a Manager, Information Security to lead a team of security engineers and analysts, owning security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response readiness. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive, hands‑on technical information security experience.
• 2+ years of leading a security team, including supervision of staff.
• Hands‑on background as security engineer/analyst; able to engage technically.
• Strong cloud security experience across Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with enterprise security tooling (SIEM, EDR, PAM, CASB/DLP, etc.).
• Experience with MSSPs or managed security services; SLA management and accountability.
• Ability to establish and report security metrics for technical and executive audiences.
• Strong DevSecOps knowledge: secure SDLC, code security controls, CI/CD security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to translate security to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage priorities and make risk‑based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of information security engineers and analysts; coach, set expectations, and review performance.
• Own security operations and vulnerability management, including tooling, managed services, and incident triage.
• Provide technical leadership for security architecture within security operations and collaborate with the CISO.
• Embed security controls across IT infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and delivery pipelines.
• Oversee vulnerability management cadence, SLAs, remediation coordination, and reporting.
• Manage MSSP/SOC relationships and escalation workflows in line with JM practices.
• Define and report security KPIs and KRIs linked to business risk to leadership.
• Support budgeting, vendor evaluations, renewals, and contract negotiations for security tools.
• Develop and maintain security operations runbooks and playbooks for consistency.
• Support CISO in advancing the information security program maturity per NIST CSF and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with GRC on audit readiness and control evidence for SOC 2, NYDFS Part 500, etc.
• Participate in off‑hours escalation rotations for critical incidents.
