Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity.
• 3–5+ years in information security.

• CISSP/CISM or similar certifications preferred.
• Cloud security familiarity (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• FERPA/HIPAA/PCI-DSS familiarity.
• Experience with SOCs and incident response.
• Experience with DLP solutions.
• Vendor and third-party risk assessment experience.
• Higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and vulnerabilities; respond to incidents.
• Maintain and test incident response plans.
• Collaborate with MSP for security operations and escalations.
• Lead security tools operations (SIEM, endpoint protection).
• Design and maintain security architectures (IAM, encryption, secure networks).
• Protect data (PII, financial data, IP), implement DLP.
• Lead vulnerability scans and risk mitigation tasks.
• Develop and update information security policies and standards.
• Support campus security awareness programs.
• Evaluate third-party vendor security practices.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends.
