The Opportunity

The Senior Information Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring and investigating security alerts and events at Velera. This role is critical for maintaining the security posture within the enterprise.

Day in the Life

• Monitor security events and alerts in Rapid 7 SIEM
• Investigate alerts independently and with teams as needed
• Manage health of security tools: Anti-malware, encryption, SIEM
• Create SOPs and process documentation
• Mentor junior analysts
• Support security objectives
• Participate in security projects
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security
• 3+ years in IT
• Understanding of desktop, network, and server environments
• Knowledge of OS, programming, networking, databases
• Experience with SIEM (Rapid 7 Insight IDR preferred)
• Experience with Anti-malware (Fidelis preferred)
• Experience with Encryption (Bitlocker preferred)
• Experience with DLP (Forcepoint preferred)

Pay and Benefits

Salary: $84,900 - $108,200 (based on experience). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, holidays, 401k, HSA, FSA, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and more.
