Job summary

Telos Corporation is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Security Engineer to join our Washington, DC team. You will leverage Python to build API integrations with Xacta 360 and Xacta.io, learn the Xacta suite, and support customer security processes within a Risk Management Framework environment.

The role requires an active Top-Secret clearance (TS/SCIPoly), 5+ years in IT security, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience (6 years).
• 5+ years of IT Security/Information Security experience.
• Experience using Python to build API integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communications and ability to interact with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and system engineers to translate requirements into automated API integrations using Xacta 360 and Xacta.io APIs.
• Learn and integrate with the Xacta Software Suite and deployment methodologies.
• Improve operational performance and streamline Risk Management Framework workflows.
• Provide user support to Xacta software users through various communication channels.
• Execute tasks with independence within assigned scope.
• Collaborate with Telos teams, government agencies, and partners.

This position will be based at Washington, DC

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and other system engineers to understand requirements and translate them into automated API integrations leveraging Xacta 360 and Xacta.io's API capabilities.
• Learn and become familiar with the Xacta Software Suite, deployment methodologies and integration with customer security processes.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operational performance and streamline customer Risk Management Framework workflow processes.
• Interacts daily in person, via email and phone conversations with a large user base to provide user support to Xacta software users.
• Complete assignments with independent thought and action within the scope of specific assignments.
• Work cooperatively with other Telos employees, government agencies, and other industry partners.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• An active Top-Secret Clearance is required with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (6 years).
• 5+ years of relevant IT Security/Computer Science/Information Security Experience required.
• Experience using Python to build API Integrations
• Demonstrated ability to work tasks autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
• A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required.
• Detail oriented with an emphasis on high quality of deliverables.
• Experience using Python to build API Integrations
• Strong understanding of application security requirements and best practices
• Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex technical issues.

Desired Additional Skills:

• Experience with other scripting languages such as PHP, JSON, or Apache Velocity highly desired.
• Risk Management Framework and NIST security requirements highly desired.
• Experience with the Xacta software suite or other GRC automation tools.
