Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Structural Designer in Birmingham, Alabama to lead industrial structural design efforts and develop detailed plans and drawings. You will work with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with codes and client standards, while guiding material estimates and project scheduling.

The role includes fieldwork, site visits, and construction support in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong detailing for steel and concrete and clear communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in structural design for industrial projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Revit strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing for steel and concrete structures, including ability to create steel and concrete drawings.
• Experience managing structural engineering teams on projects of various sizes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of structural designs, plans, layouts, and specifications for industrial structures.
• Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure codes and client standards are met.
• Oversee material estimates, scheduling, and technical documentation; provide construction support.
