Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an experienced Occupational Safety Professional to lead and execute safety projects at the Kennedy Space Center area. You will perform shop floor risk assessments and contribute to safety program improvements on a 3rd Shift, 4-day week schedule.

Responsibilities center on hazard identification, analysis, and collaboration with clients to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions while maintaining project timelines and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in science or engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in occupational safety / accident prevention.
• ASP or CSP accreditation desired.
• Active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/heavy industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive occupational safety consulting services to clients, including shop floor observations, risk-ranking exposures and devising mitigation options.
• Coordinating and executing industrial safety projects with project managers and stakeholders.
• Designing and implementing service plans, monitoring progress and reporting outcomes.
• Advising clients on safety issues and contributing to new EHS opportunities.
