Jobot is seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic in Tucson, AZ. You will serve as the subject-matter expert for ammonia (R-717) and CO₂ (R-744) systems, performing preventive maintenance, overhauls, and diagnostics to ensure maximum uptime and energy efficiency.

You will work in a union shop with extensive safety programs, advanced PLC controls, and a pipeline of industrial projects. A strong emphasis on mentorship and continuous training supports growth and long-term career development.

Qualifications

• Ammonia refrigeration experience (I & II) and RETA certifications are preferred.
• Experience with rotary screw compressors and related seals, bearings, rotors, and oil circuits.
• Familiarity with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and IIAR standards is desired.
• Ability to read P&IDs and PLC control logic; universal EPA 608 preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on maintenance skills.

Responsabilités

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on ammonia and CO₂ systems.
• Rebuild, align, and troubleshoot rotary screw compressors.
• Perform safe pump-downs, refrigerant charging, leak checks, and LOTO procedures.
• Analyze system performance data and adjust for efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain logs to support PSM/RMP and participate in PHAs and MOC.
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.
