DNOW is hiring a Sr. Painter/Blaster in Texas to apply coatings to pipe, tank and vessel surfaces. You will prepare surfaces by abrasive blasting and apply coatings with spray or brush methods, ensuring finish and thickness requirements are met.

The role requires knowledge of SSPC/NACE standards, equipment operation, and strict OSHA safety practices. Collaboration with supervisors to hit project deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial painting and abrasive blasting.
• Knowledge of SSPC/NACE surface prep standards and coating techniques.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment.
• Physical stamina for demanding environments incl. heights and confined spaces.
• Safety-first mindset with track record of OSHA guidelines.
• Certifications such as SSPC C7/C12 or NACE preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare metal surfaces on pipes, tanks, and vessels using abrasive blasting.
• Apply industrial coatings and paints to required thickness and finish.
• Read job specs, SDS, and coating manufacturer instructions for compliance.
• Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment.
• Perform quality checks with wet film gauges, thickness meters, and adhesion testers.
• Follow safety protocols including confined spaces, fall protection, and respirators.
• Work with supervisors to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
