Job summary

Vesuvius North America is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Systems specialist in Illinois. The role requires troubleshooting 480V/277V/120V AC circuits, control wiring, and three-phase systems, with 5+ years in industrial maintenance.

You will diagnose PLCs, work with VFDs and HMIs, and perform preventive maintenance using CMMS records. Candidate should have an associate degree or technical certification and strong knowledge of lockout/tagout, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in electrical maintenance, or 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Mechanical systems expertise: conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Lockout/Tagout procedures knowledge and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical systems including 480V/277V/120V AC circuits and control wiring.
Diagnose PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) and HMIs and assist enhancements.
Support motor controls, drives, and relay logic in production lines.
Perform preventive & predictive maintenance with CMMS records.
Ensure safety and code compliance through Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Collaborate with mechanical teams on conveyors, pumps, actuators.
Utilize testing equipment such as multimeters and megohmmeters.
