Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Industrial Hygienist to own and advance the Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics programs across SpaceX sites. You will build dashboards, drive data analytics, and partner with operations and engineering to embed IH controls in designs.

The role requires a BS degree and 5+ years in EH&S, with CIH certification pursued or in progress. Expect a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment with opportunities to lead safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety program oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve IH programs across SpaceX facilities, including exposure assessments.
• Design dashboards and metrics to track IH performance and trends.
• Apply data analysis, automation, and AI/ML to improve exposure monitoring and program efficiency.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and facilities to integrate IH controls into new designs.
• Lead or support exposure monitoring campaigns and recommend engineering/administrative controls and PPE.
• Build and document standardized IH processes and tools to raise operational maturity.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/Cal/OSHA and drive beyond-compliance performance.
• Develop and deliver IH training for employees and leadership.
• Support incident investigations and root-cause analysis of exposure events.
