Job summary

Central Arizona Project is seeking an Industrial Hygiene professional to provide technical and regulatory IH expertise across departments. You will develop health policies, lead programs, and monitor exposures to chemical, physical and biological hazards, reporting findings to guide safety improvements.

The role requires at least five years in applied IH, strong report-writing skills, and familiarity with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, chemistry, physics or related field.
• At least five years of experience in applied industrial hygiene, including risk assessment and oversight of confined space entry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of people and management.
• Ability to manage crises and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations, toxicology, epidemiology, chemistry, ergonomics, acoustics, ventilation and statistics.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory expertise on industrial hygiene and safety issues; guide safety plans and remediation activities.
• Develop and improve occupational health programs such as Confined Space Entry, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication and more.
• Conduct risk assessments and field monitoring; document findings in technical reports with corrective action plans.
• Maintain industrial hygiene equipment and inventory; ensure calibration and readiness.
