Job summary

Advanced Industrial Mechanical is seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair large commercial and industrial HVAC systems at our Savannah-area facility.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience, EPA Universal Certification, and strong skills in chillers, VRF, cooling towers, and related mechanical and electrical components. This site-based role requires accurate documentation and professional communication with customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Strong background in cooling towers, pumps, and low-temperature refrigeration.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical manuals.
• Advanced troubleshooting across water-cooled systems, ERVs, and VRF systems.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair large commercial HVAC systems (up to 400 tons).
• Chiller maintenance and repair on screw chillers and large HVAC units.
• ERV and VRF troubleshooting and repair.
• Airflow and ductwork evaluation; identify and recommend improvements.
• Water-cooled system diagnostics, including pumps and valves.
• Document service records and generate daily, weekly, monthly reports.
• Communicate with customers and facility personnel about conditions and actions.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
