MaviTech Professional Services LLC seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer - Repair & Service Operations to lead efficiency improvements in a high-volume repair environment. You will analyze workflows, define labor models, and drive data-driven improvements across service lines.

The role requires hands-on experience with capacity planning, line balancing, time studies, and facility layout, plus proficiency with Tableau, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of Industrial Engineering, analytics, manufacturing engineering, operations engineering, or related professional experience.
  • Direct Industrial Engineering experience supporting products returned by customers for repair or service is required.
  • Strong experience with capacity planning and labor modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with time studies, line balancing, process flow, work-cell/facility layout, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience analyzing labor utilization, WIP, productivity, throughput, and operational capacity.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and Smartsheet.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar facility/layout tools.
  • Experience with manufacturing simulation tools such as FlexSim, Simul8, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing data systems such as SAP preferred.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Tableau preferred.
  • Experience within medical device, automotive, electronics, or another complex/highly regulated product environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or similar quality systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to translate complex operational data into practical recommendations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Industrial Engineering projects supporting product repair and service operations.
  • Analyze repair and service workflows to improve productivity, throughput, cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate labor requirements, work content, cycle times, WIP, capacity, and space requirements.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards and capacity models to support operational planning.
  • Support new work cells, service lines, equipment installations, and facility expansion initiatives.
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, value stream mapping, process flow analysis, and work-cell optimization.
  • Analyze material flow, personnel utilization, equipment utilization, and physical space to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing cost, improving productivity, increasing capacity, and enhancing quality.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving and data-driven analysis to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Support facility and multi-cell layout changes.
  • Participate in new product introduction and service-readiness initiatives.
  • Develop capacity and labor models based on forecasted demand and operational requirements.
  • Determine headcount, equipment, floor space, and other resources required to support operating plans.
  • Evaluate long-range capacity requirements and recommend future labor, equipment, and facility needs.
  • Support operational planning processes to ensure service plans are achievable.
  • Monitor key operational metrics including productivity, labor hours, WIP, capacity, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into operational performance.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources to support operational decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve data or reporting inconsistencies in partnership with appropriate technical teams.

Job description

Our client, a global leader in advanced technology and highly regulated manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer - Repair & Service Operations to drive operational improvements within a complex product repair and service environment.

This position will focus on improving the efficiency, capacity, cost, productivity, and scalability of operations supporting products returned from customers for repair and service. The ideal candidate will have direct Industrial Engineering experience within a repair, service, refurbishment, remanufacturing, or depot environment, along with a strong background in capacity planning, labor modeling, time studies, line balancing, facility layout, continuous improvement, and operational analytics.

This is a highly analytical and hands-on role for an Industrial Engineer who can evaluate complex service operations, identify improvement opportunities, develop data-driven solutions, and lead projects from analysis through implementation.

Key Responsibilities
