Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Industrial/Operations Engineer to design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing and operational processes in Wisconsin. You will lead initiatives for time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, and throughput improvements.

You will develop standard work, labor models, and ergonomic solutions while applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to eliminate waste and drive data-driven decisions across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of Industrial or Operations Engineering experience.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (TN1 Visa - Canadian only).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing and operational processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Lead a team focused on time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, and throughput improvements.
• Develop standard work, labor models, and ergonomic solutions for manufacturing environments.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to eliminate waste across operations.
• Build and maintain simulation, flow, and capacity models to support data-driven decisions.
• Create cost models, make-vs-buy analyses, and ROI justifications for investments.
• Influence product design through DFMA, tolerance analysis, and assembly feasibility studies.
• Lead NPI industrialization efforts, including layouts, material flow, and ramp-up strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events, KPI development, and cross-functional leadership.
