Reliance One, Inc. is hiring for one of our clients. The Senior Industrial Engineer will develop labor standards, improve workflow and labor utilization, reduce waste, and implement work improvement programs while coaching team members and supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop labor standards by analyzing work samples, methods, and measuring work performance.
  • Improve labor utilization through study of work methods, testing modifications, designing new methods, and recommending job restructuring.
  • Improve workflow by reviewing process flow charts, recommending modifications, developing procedures, and suggesting equipment changes or purchases.
  • Reduce waste by studying methods, equipment, and operator techniques; recommending changes and analyzing waste.
  • Implement work improvement programs by conferring with management and engineering staff.
  • Prepare work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Coach and guide team members using industrial engineering skills and business knowledge.
  • Complete work improvement projects by training and mentoring operators and supervisors.
  • Maintain operations guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures, and methods.
  • Protect organizational value by ensuring information confidentiality and cautioning others about potential breaches.
  • Contribute to overall Industrial Engineering and organizational success by addressing requests and helping others achieve job results.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within automotive manufacturing and high-volume machining operations.
  • Strong understanding of production tooling and gauging.
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.
