Job summary

Entegris in Bedford, MA is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to lead safety, efficiency, and manufacturing excellence on the production floor. You will drive OEE improvements, optimize labor and material usage, and spearhead LEAN and digital transformation initiatives with SAP and MES.

You will work cross-functionally to identify waste, implement sustainable improvements, and develop scalable processes for current operations and future growth.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years manufacturing in high-volume, technically complex industries such as semiconductor, medical device, precision manufacturing, aerospace, biotechnology, or similar regulated environments
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to influence engineers and operations personnel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including statistical analysis
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to executives, peers, and customers
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Champions a safety-first culture while integrating safety into all process improvements
• Lead LEAN manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste and improve process flow
• Develop and enhance a visual factory with metrics, targets, and performance tracking
• Drive OEE system implementation, standardization, and adoption across operations
• Perform root cause analysis on OEE losses and execute sustainable corrective actions
• Improve equipment utilization and operational efficiency including PECVD process improvements
• Improve schedule adherence through SAP master data optimization

The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead initiatives to drive safety, operational efficiency, and manufacturing excellence across the production floor. This roleis responsible forimproving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE),optimizinglabor and materialutilization, and enhancing production systems through LEAN methodologies and digital transformation.

This individual will work cross-functionally toidentifyinefficiencies, implement sustainable improvements, and develop scalable processes that support both current operations and future growth. A strong hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor is essential.The ideal candidate will bring deepexpertisein manufacturing systems (SAP, MES), capacity planning, and continuous improvement, while actively driving measurable performance gains.

Labor Efficiency & Productivity

• Analyze and improve labor efficiency, ensuring accurate capture of all work

Digital & Process Transformation

• Lead transition from paper-based processes to electronic systems

Manufacturing & NPI Support

• Assess new product manufacturing readiness, including routings, BOMs, layout, and workflow efficiency

• Develop and implement Best Known Methods (BKMs) for production processes

• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality, supply chain) to drive alignment and execution

Execution & Leadership

• Actively work on the manufacturing floor to identify issues and implement solutions firsthand

• Lead cross-functional improvement efforts with a strong bias for action and accountability

• Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, yield, throughput, and cost

What We Seek:

• BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in high-volume, technically complex industries such as semiconductor, medical device, precision manufacturing, aerospace, biotechnology, or similar regulated manufacturing environments

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence, guide, engineers and operations personnel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including statistical analysis and structured troubleshooting methods.

• Compensation: $91,000- $114,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
