Job summary

Entegris in Bedford, MA seeks a Production Engineer to sustain and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, efficiency and high quality. You will lead data-driven improvements, support equipment troubleshooting, and drive capacity qualifications across cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to document processes while partnering with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and R&D to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductor industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to learn new systems quickly and document technical data.

Job Title: Production Engineer

Job Description:

What You’ll Do:

Manufacturing & Process Excellence

• Sustain manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Drive improvements in safety, yield, throughput, cost, and process capability through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support equipment troubleshooting by providing guidance and hands-on assistance to remedy and correct issues.
• Support growth through capacity equipment and process qualifications.

Quality & Compliance

• Own product quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from incoming materials through finished goods.
• Maintain process controls, risk management tools, and quality systems, including SPC, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
• Support customer, regulatory, and ISO audits while ensuring compliance with quality and change control requirements.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Lead root cause investigations for manufacturing and quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Reduce process variation through statistical analysis, process control strategies, and engineering solutions.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to improve reliability, quality, and operational performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Partner with Operations, Customer and Supplier Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to achieve business objectives.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, scale-ups, and releases to manufacturing.
• Develop process documentation, work instructions, and operator training programs.
• Serve as a technical expert for manufacturing processes, metrology systems, and quality improvement initiatives.

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred semiconductor industry.

• Proven experience leading complex investigations, implementing process control systems, and improving stability and capability.
• Expertise with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and other structured problem-solving tools.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom requirements.
• Enthusiastic learner and continuous improvement mindset.
