Job description

We don’t just build aerospace components – we engineer the future. Our cutting-edge technology and advanced materials push the boundaries of innovation, helping our customers achieve what was once impossible. We create highly specialized, high-performance solutions that outperform traditional materials. If you’re passionate about working on groundbreaking projects in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment, this is the place for you.

Your Role:

This role sits at the intersection of shop-floor reality and business strategy, turning production data into decisions leadership can act on. You will take ownership of a small team of industrial engineers and data specialists, run the capital investment process across multiple facilities, and work directly with the Director of Operations to shape how the business plans production, staffing, and capacity. It is a job for someone who is just as comfortable coaching a junior engineer through a problem as they are presenting a capital request to senior leadership, and who wants a real say in how the business grows over the next several years.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coach and develop a small team of industrial engineers and data/metrics specialists spread across multiple manufacturing sites, with direct input into their day-to-day work and long-term growth.
  • Run capital expenditure projects start to finish: build the business case, pitch it to leadership, secure approval, and see it through to implementation.
  • Act as a key partner to the Director of Operations on the company's sales, inventory, and operations planning process, applying core industrial engineering fundamentals: volume, staffing, capacity, and efficiency.
  • Build and deliver reports, root-cause analyses, and program reviews for executive leadership.
  • Help ensure production is ready to hit rate on both established programs and new business coming online.
  • Track and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the production floor.
  • Feed data-driven analysis into long-range facilities and capital planning decisions.
  • Apply lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and Six Sigma tools to drive measurable process improvement.
  • Take ownership of how a large, multi-site production layout evolves as products and equipment change over time.
  • Travel to other company sites roughly 15% of the time.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.
  • 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing or another tightly regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, for example); prior exposure to composites is a strong plus.
  • Real leadership experience, formal or informal, with a track record of developing the people who report to you.
  • Hands-on experience running capital projects from initial planning through final implementation.
  • A communicator who holds their own with executives and shop-floor engineers alike, and who can influence people who don't report to them.
  • Comfortable with data: statistics, analytics, and load-versus-capacity modeling, along with solid AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Self-directed and collaborative, willing to ask for help, and genuinely reflective about where they still need to grow.
  • Open to periodic travel between company sites.
  • Nice to have: SAP, Power BI, a Six Sigma Green Belt, experience launching new products, some financial or accounting literacy, large-scale layout design work, and direct SIOP experience.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person and be able to work without visa sponsorship.
Why Join?

This is a rare opportunity to be in the room with the Director of Operations and executive leadership, owning CapEx decisions that shape how production floors look and run for years to come. As new programs come online and old ones evolve, you'll help redesign the shop floor itself, one of the more visible, high-impact mandates an industrial engineer can ask for. You'll also get to build something of your own: a small team that's still early in its career and hungry for a mentor who can turn technical fundamentals into real leadership skills. And because this company plays in commercial and military aerospace at serious scale, the stability is real, backed by a strong benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and life insurance), a 401(k) with a 5% match plus, and a quarterly performance bonus on top of base pay. If you want a role where the work is genuinely consequential and the growth trajectory is wide open, this is it.
