Position bridges the gap between design, engineering, and shop‑floor production to ensure projects meet safety requirements, strict deadlines, quality standards, and budgets. Responsibilities typically include designing process room layouts, equipment installations, conducting time studies, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring workplace safety and quality standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Project Management: Develop project scopes, detailed timelines, and resource allocations while tracking performance against financial budgets and milestones. Forecast costs, allocate personnel, and maintain budgetary control across multiple projects.

Conduct line trials, equipment testing (FAT), and process validation. Design shop-floor layouts, workstation designs, and material flow paths using Lean and system tools like AutoCAD to eliminate waste.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central hub between Engineering, EHS, Quality, Operations, and the shop floor to support all new projects and production ramp-ups. Lead meetings between design, engineering, quality control, and factory workers. Update company leaders and clients on project progress, risks, and spending.
  • Technical Oversight: Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and validation protocols (such as IQ/OQ/PQ). Perform time studies, set labor standards, and run capacity models to balance line pacing and throughput.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methods to resolve root-cause bottlenecks and minimize manufacturing downtime. Use continuous improvement methodology and experience to optimize workflows by identifying and removing wastes from current processes.
