Job summary

GrayMatter in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead automation and control system projects on client sites. You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, and resources, coordinating with technical leads to ensure timely, within-budget delivery.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least five years of project management experience, with expertise in SCADA, PLCs, HMI, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing automation/control system projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimating systems and MS Project/GANTT charts.
• Experience with SCADA, Instrumentation, Controls, HMI and PLC projects.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects end-to-end in line with scope.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage expectations.
• Prepare schedules, budgets and change orders.
• Forecast financial and resource needs.
• Enter and review data in project management systems.
