Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a Senior Application Engineer in New Hampshire to engage with customers, prepare proposals, and independently quote standard Control Panel, PLC, and HMI projects. You will analyze labor, material, and time requirements, compute costs, and maintain cost databases while staying current on technical knowledge.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Industrial Automation and strong communication skills, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
• 5+ years of Industrial Automation experience in design, controls, programming, and electrical engineering.
• Experience with estimation and proposal management standards.
• Understanding of ERP / Project Costing Systems and parametric estimation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to assess scope and engineering requirements with local Business Development Managers.
• Prepare proposals by gathering drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Independently quote standard Control Panel, PLC, and HMI projects; seek engineering help for specialized cases.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements from proposals and drawings.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time needs.
• Present estimates by assembling numerical and descriptive data.
• Maintain cost databases and back up data.
• Stay current on technical knowledge through workshops and publications.
• Contribute to team effort and embody company core values.
