Job summary

Tom Trese is seeking an Automation Solutions Consultant based in Ruston, LA to serve as a senior technical authority for implementing automation across industries. Qualifications

Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in automation projects.
Ability to read and interpret electrical control panel drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and other engineering drawings.
Ability to design and implement industrial automation systems.
Project management and leadership experience.
Strong communication skills.
Team-oriented with ability to learn and train others.
Evidence of self-directed work with minimal oversight.
Electrical/controls engineering degree or related field.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level engineering leadership across multiple projects.
Lead design, architecture, and implementation of complex automation solutions.
Serve as primary technical liaison between customer and company.
Develop scope of work, proposals, and project cost estimates.
Program, configure, migrate, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS platforms.
Support sales with technical expertise and customer-facing documentation.
Travel to client sites for technical sales support and project reviews.
Stay current with automation industry trends and best practices.
