Job summary

Amazon is seeking exceptional talent to develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems, combining AI, control systems, and mechanical design to enable safe, adaptable automation at scale.

The role focuses on building integrated IE models, capacity planning, labor optimization, and data-driven insights to improve factory performance and cost efficiency. Successful candidates will work with cross-functional teams on transformative automation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial engineering analytics, manufacturing modeling, or operations analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and capacity planning.
• Experience building end-to-end IE models integrating capacity, labor, cost, PFEP, and material flow.
• Proficiency in capacity modeling, OEE, cycle time, and line balancing.
• PFEP, material flow optimization, and warehouse integration experience.
• Experience with factory simulation tools (FlexSim/AnyLogic/Simio).
• Strong business case development (ROI/IRR/NPV) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own integrated IE models that connect capacity, labor, material flow, PFEP, and cost to support factory planning and operations.
• Build and maintain capacity models including cycle time, OEE, yield losses, and bottleneck analysis.
• Develop labor models to optimize headcount, utilization, and labor cost across production systems.
• Create and evaluate business cases for capital investments (ROI, IRR, NPV).
• Lead COGS modeling including labor, overhead, scrap, and process-driven costs.
• Develop scrap and yield models and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and maintain OEE models to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Perform buffer and WIP analysis to optimize storage and production flow.
