Cognite in Houston seeks a seasoned Engineer-Sales specialist to translate complex industrial AI concepts into tangible solutions. You will partner with executives and engineers to prototype, demo, and scale Cognite Atlas AI and Data Fusion deployments in real customer environments.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% to engage on the ground across industries such as energy and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in forward deployed engineering/pre-sales roles in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or industrial software companies.
• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Machine Learning.
• Strong foundation in Python and a deep understanding of the GenAI landscape (embeddings, RAG, and prompt chaining).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability and interest to travel up to 50% as needed to be on the ground where impact happens.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Account Executives to prioritize strategic opportunities and act as the technical lead for complex engagements.
• Lead the design and implementation of first-of-their-kind industrial agents using the Atlas AI workbench and Cognite Data Fusion.
• Lead use case workshops and briefings, translating requirements into deliverable high-level use cases and ROI-driven demos.
• Bridge field and Product teams by translating field friction into actionable product requirements and scalable best practices.
