Job summary

AHS American Home Shield Corp. is seeking a Senior Incident Response Engineer to join a remote-first, cloud-native IR team. You will conduct full-cycle incident response—triage, investigation, containment, remediation, and reporting—while ensuring confidentiality and proper approvals.

You will automate routine investigations and mentor junior engineers to grow into senior roles. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in security with 3+ years in incident response, strong communication, and hands-on

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security with 3+ years in Incident Response.
• Experience handling incidents from a security responder perspective.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and guide others.
• Experience with cloud security in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and external threat feeds.
• Experience with container security and OS/container insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle incident response activities (triage, investigation, containment, remediation, reporting).
• Collaborate with teams to improve security processes and documentation.
• Automate routine investigations to speed responses.
• Provide investigatory support during incidents and ensure confidentiality.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers toward more senior roles.
