Job summary

Akima Global Technology in Ashburn, VA seeks a senior IT operations professional to manage day-to-day operations of computer systems, networks, programs, and databases.

You will lead incident management, coordinate platform transitions, and work with leaders to develop technology plans and policies in line with company goals. The role requires strong leadership with the ability to supervise staff and drive improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• CBP Background Investigation/clearance required for consideration (DoD Secret/Top Secret may apply).
• Certifications: ITIL v3, CCNA, CCNP, CIM.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 10+ years of senior networking experience in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure and equipment.
• Experience implementing and administering enterprise-wide monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain data technology operations for hardware, software and telecommunications.
• Evaluate and recommend enterprise solutions for the organization and departments.
• Coordinate transitions from existing to new platforms and systems.
• Monitor organizational technology needs and align with company goals.
• Lead and direct teams; manage budgets and strategic plans.
• Oversee incident remediation and incident management processes.
