Job summary

Brown & Brown in Daytona Beach (and Plano, TX) seeks a Technical Incident Commander to own end-to-end incident response for high-severity events across the enterprise. You will coordinate technical and business teams, ensuring rapid containment, clear communications, and effective resolution with minimal business impact.

Ideal candidates have 5–8+ years in IT operations or incident management, strong ITIL knowledge, and proven ability to drive post-incident improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years leading IT operations or site reliability with major incident ownership.
• Proven ability to lead under pressure with structured thinking and decisiveness.
• Deep ITIL incident and problem management knowledge; ITIL cert preferred.
• Fluent in coordinating cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead command and control of Severity 1 and 2 incidents with clear ownership and rapid resolution across technical and business teams.
• Coordinate resolver groups, engineering, and service owners in real-time to remove blockers.
• Own stakeholder and executive communications throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Facilitate post-incident reviews and drive root cause analysis with actionable follow-ups.
