Job summary

Abiologics, Inc in Watertown, MA is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join the Pharmacology team and drive hands-on in vivo mouse studies, including dosing and tissue collection. You will coordinate with CROs to advance the pipeline and contribute to in vitro and ex vivo activities, applying molecular biology assays and histology.

Ideal candidates have biology training with 5–7 years of relevant experience (or MS with 3–5 years), and proficiency with ELISA, Western blot, qPCR, and flow

Qualifications

• BS in Biology or related discipline with 5–7 years of relevant research experience, or MS with 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
• Independent experience with rodent in vivo dosing and handling techniques with multiple routes (PO, IP, IV, SC).
• Experience in tissue dissection and preparation for RNA, protein analysis, and histology.
• Demonstrated ability to execute or learn ELISA, Western blot, qPCR, cell‑based assays, and flow cytometry.
• Proficiency with Excel, GraphPad Prism, and PowerPoint for documentation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in vivo (mouse) studies to characterize function, PK, and biodistribution of Synteins TM.
• Dose mice and collect blood/tissues via multiple routes.
• Comply with IACUC regulations for welfare and care.
• Prepare tissues for histology including fixation and embedding.
• Perform molecular/cell biology assays (ELISA, Western blot, qPCR) and basic cell culture.
• Coordinate with CROs for external in vivo studies.
• Document results in ELN and present findings in meetings.
• Troubleshoot and improve study quality and throughput.
• Collaborate with Pharmacology and cross‑functionally support lead optimization.
