Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to defend insureds and the Company in bodily injury and property damage cases, handling mediations, arbitrations, and occasional trials. You will coordinate with business clients and internal legal teams while staying ahead of evolving laws and regulations to keep strategies sharp.

The role requires 5+ years of proven litigation experience, first/second chair trial exposure, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and LexisNexis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills, capable of managing complex disputes under pressure.
• First or second chair jury trial experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet research.

Responsibilities

• Represents insured individuals and the Company in defense of bodily injury and property damage suits
• Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
• Presents pre- and post-trial motions effectively
• Collaborates with colleagues to manage calendars and workload
• Provides counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters
• Coordinates with diverse legal teams and monitors new laws impacting strategy
• Advises on risk and regulatory matters within L&R department
