Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney in Connecticut to defend bodily injury and property damage lawsuits and represent the Company in trials, arbitrations, and mediations. You will also advise business clients and coordinate across legal teams while monitoring evolving laws and regulations.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate and CT Bar admission, 4+ years of litigation experience, and willingness to travel within Connecticut, including Hartford and New Haven areas.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and active Connecticut State Bar in good standing.
• 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills with ability to manage complex disputes under pressure.
• First or second chair jury trial experience preferred; experience in insurance defense preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents insured individuals and Allstate in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits; handles subrogation and UM/UIM cases.
• Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Drafts and presents pre- and post-trial motions effectively.
• Assists colleagues in scheduling and calendar coordination.
• Provides counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters.
• Manages projects and fosters coordination among legal teams.
• Monitors and analyzes new laws/regulations; advises business units on impact and collaborates with L&R.
