Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Paralegal for our Corporate Headquarters in West Berlin, NJ. The role provides comprehensive paralegal support across legal, financial, and administrative areas of the company.

Ideal candidates will have 8–12 years’ experience in civil litigation, contracts, and corporate matters, with strong MS Office skills and excellent communication. In-house experience is a strong plus; a diligent, discreet, team-oriented professional is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment; in-house experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in civil litigation, contracts and agreements, HR, and corporate matters is beneficial.
• Must draft correspondence, documents, and presentations clearly and accurately.
• Must manage confidential information discreetly.
• Excellent written and oral communication; team player.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
• Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, renew licenses, permits, and corporate registrations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, tax, and operations on disclosures and data for background checks.
• Review contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements for risk and policy alignment.
• Ensure contracts comply with internal policies on liability, indemnification, and payment terms.
• Support HR and management in investigations and workers’ compensation matters; liaise with outside counsel as needed.
• Assist the General Counsel with routing matters to outside counsel and tracking milestones.
• Maintain communication with external law firms and manage document requests and interrogatories.
