Job summary

Pearson seeks an Advanced Specialist, Implementation Specialist to drive end-to-end item and test development for large-scale K-12 statewide programs. You will lead client-facing content development, translate standards into specifications, and coordinate across Psychometrics, Content, Publishing Services, Program Delivery, and Finance.

You will guide assessment design, ensure quality across paper and online modalities, manage schedules and budgets, lead risk management, and shape AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in educational testing and assessment with client-facing work.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in content development.
• Knowledge of psychometric principles relevant to development.
• Experience with statewide assessments; classroom teaching valued.
• Strong planning and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end item and test development for statewide K-12 assessments.
• Serve as a primary client-facing leader for content development.
• Translate standards into item/test specifications with client approvals.
• Manage labor forecasts, SOWs, and project schedules.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Communicate progress and outcomes to customers.
• Coach team members and vendor partners.
