Job summary

Building One Community in Stamford, CT seeks an experienced Pro Bono Supervising Attorney to lead our Immigration Legal Services team. This role manages volunteer attorneys and DOJ representatives, provides direct representation on complex cases, and helps expand capacity to serve more clients.

Reporting to the Director of ILS, you will mentor staff and volunteers, develop trainings, oversee clinics, and collaborate with partners to advance immigrant rights in Fairfield County.

Qualifications

  • Admitted to the Connecticut Bar or ability to waive in.
  • 8–10 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or law students.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a growing team of pro bono attorneys and DOJ representatives.
  • Represent clients in immigration matters before USCIS and EOIR.
  • Develop trainings and establish workflows for pro bono case management.
  • Conduct legal consultations and participate in large legal clinics.
  • Engage in grant reporting, impact tracking, and partnership building.
  • Stay current on immigration law changes and share updates with the team.
