Job summary

Overwatch Imaging is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement software and firmware for real-time imaging systems in our Tactical Applications products. You will lead embedded driver development, image processing, and AI integration to meet stringent latency and size constraints.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate in a startup-like team, and contribute to building scalable software across platforms. Location includes Nashville office with possible hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Formal education in software engineering, CS, or related fields.
• Strong programming concepts and principles.
• Experience in airborne or space-based remote sensing and imaging.
• Experience with image processing, ML techniques, or autonomous systems.
• Embedded driver development and deployment experience.
• 8+ years with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with a master’s degree, or a Ph.D.
• Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications.
• Lead code reviews, ensure quality, and optimize performance.
• Develop imaging payload embedded software for drivers and data management.
• Geospatial imagery processing and integration with maps.
• Build tools to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
