Texas Biomedical Research Institute seeks a Senior Scientist, Multimodal Research Imaging to lead the SNPRC Research Imaging Core, guiding PET/CT and MRI studies across aging, infectious diseases, and neuroscience.

The role combines scientific leadership with operational oversight, expanding imaging capabilities, developing new protocols, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations to accelerate translational research.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
• At least two years in preclinical or laboratory animal imaging.
• Experience leading imaging programs is strongly preferred.
• Licensure or professional certification, as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the SNPRC Research Imaging Core including PET/CT and MRI.
• Support growth of imaging services across radiology, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
• Ensure program compliance with regulatory standards including State Radiation Licensing.
• Collaborate with researchers to identify imaging targets and analyze data.
• Provide veterinary, technical, and scheduling support for imaging processes.
• Develop new protocols to expand PET isotope capabilities.
• Supervise and develop an imaging team for data delivery.
• Contribute to core grant writing and annual progress reports.
