Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced IoT Engineer (Industrial IoT) for a 100% remote role within the United States. The position focuses on designing end-to-end IIoT solutions, secure connectivity, and real-time analytics across edge devices, gateways, and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with OT and reliability teams to ensure scalable, secure, and auditable implementations, delivering robust dashboards and integrated data flows for enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years IIoT or industrial software engineering experience.
• Programming in Python, C++, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP IoT platforms.
• Experience with edge runtimes Greengrass / IoT Edge.
• OT/IT integration patterns and real-time analytics.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions across edge devices, gateways, connectivity, and cloud.
• Design data pipelines from PLCs/SCADA/sensors using OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT.
• Build edge apps using AWS/GCP/Azure IoT Edge/Greengrass.
• Implement secure connectivity with mTLS and zero-trust patterns.
• Create cloud ingestion/processing via AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Kafka.
• Develop real-time analytics and predictive maintenance models.
• Create dashboards/alerts for plant managers and operators.
• Integrate IIoT streams with MES/ERP/CMMS and historian systems.
• Manage devices: provisioning, OTA updates, cert rotation.
• Mentor junior engineers and document system architecture clearly.
