Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior SRE leader to mentor and guide site reliability engineering teams across projects.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations and Product to drive the adoption of new features and reliability processes, and you will apply data-driven analysis to identify bottlenecks and opportunities. In this role you will define data feeds from internal and external sources to inform decisions, influence high-level strategy, and build tools to automate analytics

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Analytical background with experience in statistical data analysis.
• Experience coding in at least one of the following languages: Python, Perl, SQL, Java, C, or R.
• Proven ability to provide insightful and well‑received technical feedback.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to articulate technical information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
• Experience with Internet protocols (DNS/HTTP/TLS/TCP).

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US‑based candidates only, the base salary for this position ranges from $146,400 - $263,600 per year; salary is determined by various factors including relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities (annual bonus or incentives), equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
