Job summary

Targa Resources seeks a Supervisor for Instrumentation, Electrical & Controls (IEC) to lead and govern IEC engineering for midstream assets, including plants, compressor stations, and pipelines. You will set technical quality expectations, oversee cost-effective design, and drive reliability and safety standards across projects.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with project management, and manage budgets while ensuring compliance with industry codes and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• Six or more years of progressive engineering experience in midstream oil and gas or comparable industrial environments.
• Strong working knowledge of hazardous area power systems, control systems, and safety‑critical designs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical governance for IEC engineering activities across plants, compressor stations, and pipelines.
• Serve as IEC authority for capital projects, operational support, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and specialists to build bench strength for growth and succession.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, API, ISA, IEEE, and PSM requirements in all designs.
