Job summary

You will work in Box's Identity and Security Foundation, collaborating across teams to ensure scalable, reliable services. This on-site role emphasizes security, performance, and user experience in an AI-enabled platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of modern authentication and authorization technologies (MFA, SSO, OAuth 2.0, JWTs).
• Experience designing, building, and operating secure, production-grade services and RESTful APIs.
• Strong Java proficiency and working knowledge of PHP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable authentication and authorization systems.
• Build and operate high-quality microservices powering security capabilities (MFA, SSO, OAuth 2.0, OIDC).
• Provide technical guidance across architecture levels and mentor engineers.
• Influence architectural decisions with expertise in identity and security.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to issues as needed.
