Job summary

Confluent, an IBM Company, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own identity, infrastructure, automations, and zero-trust systems across multi-cloud environments. You’ll partner with security, infra, and compliance teams to ensure audit-ready operations.

The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and scalable IdP governance, with global SaaS and developer platform integrations. Expertise in Okta, Entra ID, and cloud IAM is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems, identity, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on IdP administration with Okta and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, and SCIM provisioning knowledge.
• Identity governance with SailPoint or similar IGA tool.
• Multi-cloud IAM/RBAC and network security controls.

Responsibilities

• Administer IdP infrastructure across Okta and SAML/OIDC.
• Lead identity governance and quarterly access reviews.
• Manage AWS, Azure, and GCP environments and RBAC.
• Architect and administer GlobalProtect/Prisma Access environments.
• Manage Google Workspace domain-wide delegation and API controls.
• Lead audits and enforce least-privilege and Just-in-Time access.
• Build automation to replace recurring manual work.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and network teams.
• Maintain runbooks and architecture documentation.
