Job Description

About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Identity & Access Management Engineer to join the SaaS Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automations within Okta and other SaaS applications, primarily using Okta Workflows. You will play a key role in streamlining identity and access management processes, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing security.

The SaaS Management team is responsible for the health, optimization, and security of core SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Okta, Jira, Slack, and Identity Management platforms. The team manages critical services, ensuring seamless user experiences, efficient workflows, and cost-effectiveness. They focus on automating processes like user onboarding/offboarding, license management, and other key tasks to streamline operations, improve productivity, and security. The team aims to provide a delightful user experience, empowering users to do their best work.

Manage and maintain the Okta Identity Cloud environment, including user lifecycle management, application integrations, and security policies.

Design, develop, and deploy complex Okta Workflows to automate identity and access management tasks such as user provisioning, de-provisioning, group management, password resets, and multi-factor authentication. Continuously analyze and optimize these automations for efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Integrate Okta with other systems using APIs and connectors.

Create and maintain documentation for automations and processes.

Provide support and troubleshooting for Okta-related issues, including workflow failures, access problems, and integration errors.

Adhere to security best practices in automation design and implementation. Stay updated on Okta features and ensure data backup for emergencies. Collaborate with application owners for seamless integration.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, IT, or relevant experience.

Experience: 5+ years in Identity and Access Management.

Knowledge, Skills, Certifications:

  • Deep understanding of Universal Directory, SSO (SAML, OIDC, WS-Federation), and MFA.
  • Ability to design complex workflows with conditional logic, loops, and error handling.
  • Expertise in using and creating connectors, APIs, scripting (JavaScript), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Possession of industry certifications such as Okta certifications is preferred.

Pay Range

Salary: $110,000 - $124,000
