Job summary

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a leader to manage ICFR, SOX, and MAR compliance within Corporate Audit. You will guide planning, testing and issue follow-up, coordinate with IT and external auditors, and drive improvements in internal control and governance around financial reporting.

The role requires strong knowledge of COSO, GAAP, and risk assessment, plus experience in audit workflows and leveraging AI/automation to enhance efficiency. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably Accounting, Finance, CS, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or similar is preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in SOX, ICFR, internal controls, internal audit, external audit, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or perform oversight toward ICFR, SOX, and MAR compliance activities, including planning, risk identification, testing, documentation, and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance on end-to-end process walkthroughs, risk documentation, control design, and deficiency assessment.
• Coordinate with management, IT, control owners, and external auditors to support timely ICFR completion and issue resolution.
• Review ICFR workpapers and control documentation for audit-quality standards and accuracy.
• Develop and enhance an ICFR program for consistency, accountability and scalable documentation.
