Job summary

NV5, Inc. is actively hiring ICC Inspectors to support statewide projects in New Mexico and ongoing work at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

This long-term program is expected to continue through 2028 and beyond, with inspectors able to stay overnight in the Los Alamos area during the work week. Qualifications

• 3+ years ICC Soil, Concrete, and Reinforced Special Inspector experience.
• Familiarity with the International Building Code and ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards for testing and inspections.
• Must be a motivated individual who can follow directions.
• Prepare daily reports for submission to the QC Manager.
• A valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with approved codes, laws, ordinances, regulations, and standards.
• Verify that construction complies with approved plans.
• Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements.
• Maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive records related to inspection activities.
• Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance.
• Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
