Job summary

ASE Global in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Sr. Application Engineer to promote ASE technology and support customers with new product introductions, while partnering with ASE factory engineering to maintain yield and resolve field issues.

You will review customer devices, collaborate with design and manufacturing for volume production, and work with R&D on advanced high-speed packaging solutions, ensuring designs meet ASE’s assembly flow and performance targets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field and at least 8 years in IC packaging/assembly.
• Strong working knowledge of IC packaging design rules and QA processes.
• Knowledge of Silicon Photonics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customers’ devices and feedback to engineering for IC packages meeting app needs.
• Co-work with manufacturing from design to volume production.
• Collaborate with R&D to develop advanced high-speed/high-performance packaging.
• Follow up engineering issues with customers and manufacturing teams.
