Job summary

Grand River Dam Authority in Oklahoma seeks an Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Technician Senior to maintain and operate a large multi-unit thermal power facility at GRDA's Grand River Energy Center in Chouteau. The role covers boiler and turbine auxiliaries, DCS/PLCs, and high-voltage equipment up to 13,800 VAC.

You will diagnose, repair, and calibrate control systems, work 24/7 in varying weather, and participate in root cause investigations while adhering to strict safety policies

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical accreditation preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years' directly related experience in a large industrial facility or power generating facility.
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license, or ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out-of-state license that are Oklahoma residents.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, inspect, and maintain boiler and boiler auxiliaries, combustion and steam turbine/generator auxiliaries, also fuel supply equipment and auxiliaries.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control systems and equipment.
• Operate, monitor, maintain and calibrate environmental and industrial hygiene equipment such as CEMS, noise and gas detection devices, etc.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical, instrumentation, and control systems specific to power generation facilities.
• Obtain measurements and readings using meters and testing instruments; assist in coordinating maintenance work.
• Draw and read electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and/or diagrams.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, cranes and fleet vehicles.
• Participate in Root Cause Investigations for Incidents/Accidents, Near Miss, Off Normal events.
• Perform minor mechanical maintenance work on rotating equipment, valves, actuators, piping, etc.
• Support startup/shutdown activities, and emergency response procedures if needed.
